Manos Perrakis, born in Athens, is a philosophy scholar, writer and translator. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Humboldt University, Berlin. He mainly works at the intersection of aesthetics and practical philosophy with a special focus on Nietzsche, romanticism and the philosophy of music. Active as a philosophical practitioner. Former adjunct lecturer at the Technical University of Berlin and Lise-Meitner-Fellow of the Austrian Science Fund at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where he led the project Music as life-affirmation. The value of music in life-philosophy. He has been Research Associate at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. Member of the German society for philosophical practice (IGPP) and its professional association (BV-PP); cooperation in the international project The Philo-Practice Agora. Next to his academic work, he has published two books of prose, poems and translations of German classics in Greek. He lives in Vienna.
