Manos Perrakis holds a PhD in Philosophy from Humboldt University, Berlin. He has published extensively on the interface between aesthetics and practical philosophy with a permanent focus on the philosophy of music and literature.

Next to his research, following the paradigm of philosophical practice (philosophy outside academia) and inspired by the arts, he has been active as an advisor and educator for individuals and organizations.

He also translates German classics in Greek, and he has published two books of prose, poems and essays.

Born in Athens, he is currently based in Vienna.
